VP OF SALES DESIGN HOUSE

Job Purpose:   
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the direction and management of all Design House sales and business development activities. This person reports to the President/CEO and is a member of the company’s executive team.
 
Primary duty: 
  • Manage overall sales process, set appropriate metrics for sales funnel and CRM
  • Budget and P&L performance responsibility
  • Establish training, compensation, and sales incentive programs
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding customer base
  • Responsible for establishing own customer base and book of business
  • Work closely with VP Marketing to develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs
  • Expected to be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and lead customer sales strategies
  • Responsible for communication and coaching of the sales plan across all functional areas of the company
 Requirements
  • National account experience within the building supply channel
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical sales plans
  • Strong leadership, negotiating, and communication skills
  • Previous sales personnel management
  • BA/BS

 

 

 

SALES SPECIALIST - ACCENTS UNLIMITED

 
This position is designed to focus on specific channels of distribution and undeveloped accounts for our Accents Unlimited Outdoor Living brand. The objective is to broaden the overall customer base and increase sales revenue.
 
Responsible for the development of targeted accounts as it relates to research, product planning, product development, global sourcing, pricing, presentations, account support and rep management to grow overall sales and profitability. It is the responsibility of this individual to ensure that all areas of the process are running smoothly, on time and in compliance with the customers needs. Accuracy, organization and exceeding the sales plan are the over riding measurements.
 
Primary Duties: 
  • Research assigned accounts and have a complete understanding of their market position and outline ways to help them grow.
  • Establish profiles for each account and identify buyers name and contact info., presentation dates, sample due dates, and expectations for each account.
  • Responsible for organizing and delivering all sales presentation material on time and accurately, to include product samples, sales collateral and pricing.
  • Responsible for all account specific documentation, contracts, item quote forms, and insurance certificates.
  • Responsible for properly documenting all program negotiations, final pricing, terms and allowances.
  • Responsible for understanding and being proficient on account specific websites.
  • A complete understanding of margins, pricing, and account profitability is a must.
  • Responsible for working with outside sales reps and establishing a measurable process for growth.
  • Responsible for managing product changes that result from customer line reviews
  • Responsible for submitting product changes to China and updating necessary contacts with schedules and photos
  • Regularly support customer visits through product line presentations
  • Ability to travel for customer visits and trade shows
 
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree with computer competency
  • An aptitude and appreciation for selling and sales, product development/products, and the Lawn and Garden Décor Industry   
  • Selling experience to top 50 retailers preferred, but not necessary
  • Achievement oriented / goal directed
  • Persistent and positive can-do approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrate initiative, judgment, tact & diplomacy in dealing with internal/external customers.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude and perform as a team player
  • Must be able to travel
